Signing of Hubei Jinyu New Energy Shipbuilding Project Boosts Intelligent Upgrade of Shipbuilding Industry
January 11, 2025 - Hubei Jinyu New Energy Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jinyu Shipbuilding") reached a significant milestone as it successfully held the signing ceremony for its shipyard construction project at Wuxue City Investment Group's conference hall. This agreement marks the official commencement of the company's main construction works, injecting strong momentum into the development of Hubei Province's Intelligent New Energy Shipbuilding Industrial Park.
The ceremony was attended by Tao Yongjun, Party Secretary and Chairman of Wuxue City Investment Group, Liu Long, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager, along with representatives from Jinyu Shipbuilding and City Investment Construction Company. Witnessed by all parties, Jinyu Shipbuilding formally signed the Construction Project Contract with Guangji New Energy Shipbuilding and City Investment Construction Company, marking a commitment to leverage respective strengths for efficient project advancement.
Following this agreement, Jinyu Shipbuilding will accelerate construction of core facilities including the shipyard's main structure, production workshops, and office areas to ensure high-quality project delivery. As the first enterprise in Hubei's Intelligent New Energy Shipbuilding Industrial Park, the company is working at full capacity to achieve its goal of launching the first intelligent new energy vessel by the end of 2025, contributing to the transformation and upgrading of Hubei's shipbuilding industry.
Established in March 2024, Jinyu Shipbuilding specializes in R&D and construction of high-end intelligent stainless steel chemical tankers below 30,000 DWT. The company has already completed a modern 27,500-square-meter hull prefabrication workshop equipped with 67 advanced cranes, and has secured shipbuilding orders worth billions of yuan, demonstrating strong market competitiveness.
